Урок "Жизнь в пустыне". 5 класс.
Предметная область: иностранный язык.
Цель урока: обобщение знаний учащихся по теме "Жизнь в пустыне".
Задачи урока:
- совершенствование грамматических навыков на материале глаголов в форме будущего простого времени;
- развитие языковой догадки, навыков чтения, аудирования, устной речи, умения работать в группе.
- воспитание познавательного интереса к окружающему миру, любви к природе.
Форма проведения урока: урок-игра.
Использовались Интернет-ресурсы при презентации мини-проектов (контроль домашнего задания- рассказ о животных), работа с интерактивной доской с использованием СD-дисков на этапе совершенствования грамматических навыков,навыков чтения, заключительного этапа урока)с целью воспитания познавательного интереса к окружающему миру, расширения кругозора учащихся.
Мультимедийные технологии позволили повысить уровень учебной мотивации, совершенствовать грамматические навыки, навыки чтения, устной речи, аудирования, активизировать познавательную деятельность учащихся.

III.Речевая разминка. Демонстрируются слайды с изображением пустынь.
Children, what deserts do you know? Show them on the map, please. Участники из обеих команд по очереди выходят к доске, показывают пустыни на карте и дают комментарий. This is the Sahara Desert. It’s the largest desert in the world. This is the Gobi Desert. It’s the coldest desert in the world. This is the Arabian Desert. It has lots of sand dunes. This is the Kalahari Desert. San people live there. This is the Turkestan Desert. There is lots of oil there. This is the Australian Desert. Kangaroos live in the Australian Desert.
IV. Повторение лексики по теме. Now is the competition of captains. Find the desert words and write them оn the board. Капитаны получают карточки с буквами, из которых нужно составить слова по теме ,,Пустыня’’ и записывают их на доске, например: nsad ------- sand
V. Фонетическая зарядка. Учитель демонстрирует карточки со словами по теме «Пустыня». Повторяется произношение слов sky, dry, hot, sun, desert, kangaroo, oil, camel, jeep, water, sand, oasis, snake, dune.
VI. Контроль домашнего задания. Проверка навыков монологической речи.Children, what animals live in the deserts? Ответы учащихся: Kangaroos live in the deserts. Camels live in the deserts. Snakes live in the deserts. Lizards live in the deserts.
Представители от каждой команды демонстрируют слайды и рассказывают о животных пустыни. The first team. Camels are perfect for desert life. Camels’ toes are wide so that they can walk on the sand dunes. Camels have humps on their backs. These do not carry water. They carry food. Camels can drink a lot of water at once. They have two rows of eyelashes to keep sand out of their eyes. They can close their long noses. Camels have a think warm fur. People travel by camel in the Sahara Desert. The second team. Kangaroos live in the Australian Desert. They can be grey or red. Kangaroo has got a small head, a big body, a long tail and very long legs. It can jump 9m long and at 50km an hour. Kangaroos have got the pouch in which they carry their cubs. They eat leaves and branches.
VII. Работа над развитием навыков аудирования. 1.Учащиеся слушают рассказы представителей команд о животных пустыни и стараются понять и запомнить информацию, содержащуюся в них. 2.Контроль аудирования рассказов о животных. Участники обеих команд имеют по три карточки: с изображением верблюда, с изображением кенгуру и пустую карточку. Учитель произносит словосочетания из прослушанных текстов, а также словосочетания, не содержащиеся в текстах. Учащиеся должны поднять нужную карточку.

VIII. Работа над развитием навыков чтения. Используется материал раздела 12a на диске Way Ahead CD-ROM 4. Now is the next task. Look at the picture and imagine: you are in the desert. Read the sentences and drag the objects into the picture by turns. I ask one person from each team to the board. The camel is drinking the water. The snake is between the trees, in the oasis. The jeep is on the left of the trees. The hump is on the camel. The oil is on the right, behind the oasis. The sand dunes are behind the jeep. The man is driving the jeep.
IX. Физкультминутка. Stand up, please! We have a rest. Упражнение проводится с использованием джазового напева ,,This, that, these, those”.
This, that, these, those. This, that, those, these. Snap your fingers, Shrug your shoulders, Touch your toes. Bend your knees.
Учащиеся имитируют движения учителя и повторяют текст напева. This- правая рука отводится в сторону, That- левая рука отводится в сторону, These- обе руки вытянуть вперёд, Тhose- обе руки разводятся в разные стороны.
X. Работа над совершенствованием грамматических навыков на материале глаголов в форме будущего простого времени в устной речи и письменной речи.
1. Работа над устной речью. Children, you will find some interesting things in the desert.
Where will you find kangaroos? We will find kangaroos in the Australian Desert. Where will you find camels? We will find camels in the Sahara Desert. Where will you find a lot of oil? We will find a lot of oil in the Turkestan Desert. Where will you find San people? We will find San people in the Kalahari Desert. Where will you find lots of sand dunes? We will find a lot of sand dunes in the Arabian Desert.
Will find”- what’s the tense? It’s Future Simple.
2. Работа над письменной речью. а). Используется материал раздела 19b на диске Way Ahead CD-ROM 4. Read the sentences and type will/ will not in the gaps. I ask one person from each team to the board.
1. Do your homework. I will do it now. 2. Do not leave rubbish in the garden. I will not leave it there. 3. Do not break the plate. I will not break it. 4. Do not cut your finger. I will not cut it. 5. Do not crash the car. I will not crash it. 6. Wash your hands. I will wash them.
b). What colours will you see in the desert? What colour is a camel? Ответы учащихся: A camel is brown. What colour is a kangaroo? A kangaroo is brown, too. What colour is a jeep? A jeep is green. What colour is the sky? The sky is blue. What colour is the sun? The sun is orange. What colour is sand? Sand is yellow. What colour is water? Water is blue.
Используется материал раздела 12b на диске Way Ahead CD-ROM 4.
Now try to mix these colours. Drag the paintbrush into the circle, paint a new colour, do the same with another paintbrush, mix colours and type in the gaps. Use the sentences with ,,if”. I ask one person from each team to the board.
1.If you mix blue and yellow, what colour will you get? If you mix blue and yellow, you will get green. 2. If you mix blue and pink, what colour will you get? If you mix blue and pink, you will get purple. 3. If you mix red and white, what colour will you get? If you mix red and white, you will get pink. 4. If you mix black and white, what colour will you get? If you mix black and white, you will get grey. 5. If you mix red and yellow, what colour will you get? If you mix red and yellow, you will get orange.
XI. Работа над развитием навыков чтения, языковой догадки.
The next task is making of the sentences with ,,if”. Read two parts of the sentences, next drag the second part to the first part. I ask one person from each team to the board.

XII. Работа над развитием навыков аудирования. Используется запись аудиокассеты Way Ahead Book 4 Tape 27.
Учащиеся в командах работают с учебником Way Ahead Рupil's Book 4 p.56 ex.1.

Which facts are true and which are false? 1.People in some desert towns use mud bricks to build their houses. 2.It never rains in the desert. 3.Nights in the desert are always hot. 4.Camels have two toes to walk on the sand. 5.Saudi Arabia has some of the world’s largest oil fields. 6.Some desert don’t have much sand. Записи с ответами, а также все предыдущие задания оцениваются жюри, подводится общий счёт.
XIII. Заключительный этап урока. 1.Подведение итогов. Children, you can speak English about the desert, you can read English, you can write English. Can you sing English? Let’s finish our competition with a song about the travelling to the new places.

XIV. Домашнее задание. At home you should make your own crossword on the topic “Desert”.
