SSAU
Samara State Aerospace University named after academician S.P. Korolyov is one of the leading academic institutions of Russian Federation. There are over 10500 students studying at SSAU ten faculties, at branches in Togliatty and Novokuibyshevsk on day-time, part-time and correspondence education in 27 specialities. The university has more than 700 teachers, including 64 academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and other academies, about 120 doctors of science, professors; about 450 candidates of science. The university has 45 departments, instruction laboratories and study rooms, computer centres with 33 display rooms, 28 research laboratories, 5 research institutes, a library containing over 1 million books on science and technology, a training airfield with a unique aircraft fleet, aircraft equipment base, an exhibition hall of scientific developments, printing facilities, two sports complexes with a swimming pool, catering facilities, health and fitness centre, summer sports camp, a yacht-club, museum of aviation and cosmonautics, centre of aircraft engines history, 7 student hostels and a hotel. The industrial premises occupy over 144,4 thousand square metres.
In the course of 60 year' activities the university has become a powerful academic and research complex.
