Тема: «A tour to Canada»

Цели урока:

  • Обучающая: активизировать умения и навыки учащихся в устной речи (монологической и диалогической), тренировать навыки восприятия речи на слух.
  • Развивающая: расширять кругозор учащихся, развивать умения находить и отбирать необходимую информацию из разных источников, умения анализировать, обобщать, развивать зрительную память, мышление и воображение.
  • Воспитательная: воспитывать уважение к культуре, истории, традициям страны изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: карта Канады, флаг Канады, телевизор, видеомагнитофон, видеозапись, раздаточный материал для контроля аудирования, картины с видами Канады, Интернет, песня о Канаде.


Ход урока

2.Сообщение темы и целей урока

Teacher. Good morning dear friends. We’ll have not an ordinary lesson today. We’ll have a traveling to Canada. You know how it’s interesting. The aim of the lesson is to improve our knowledge, to know some new facts about Canada. We’ll listen to and discuss the material.

3. Речевая разминка и введение в иноязычную атмосферу

Учитель обращает внимание на доску, где написано высказывание Джона Кларка «He that travels far knows much».

Teacher. Yow do you understand these words? What’s your opinion? (Учащиеся обмениваются своим мнением) 1. Would you like to go to Canada? 2. Where would you like to go? 3. Why do you think Canada might be a good place to live?

Ottawa is the capital city of Canada. It is located on the southern bank of the Ottawa River. Many historical and cultural builders are found in Ottawa., such as Museum of Natural History, Museum of Man, National Gallery and the National Arts Centre… Ottawa has been called the Tulip City, because every spring the city comes alive with thousands of tulips from the Netherlands… Teacher. Thanks a lot. It’s so interesting!

Canada has four district seasons. The warmest area of Canada is along the US border.

Ontario and Quebec have warm summers without a lot of rain...

Student 4. Flora and Fauns.

Bears are the largest and more dangerous animals. Grizzly Bears, Reaver, Buffolo/Bison, Wolf, Coyote, Dear, Rocky mountains goat, Birds, Fish.

Student 5. Political system.

Canada is a constitutional monarchy. Canada is ruled by a parliamentary system with the head of the monarch of Britain… Student 6. Holidays.

Dear friends! Thank you very much for your preparation. Do you like your today’s visit to Canada. What was interesting for you to know?

P1. To my mind today’s trip was very interesting. We’ve learnt many interesting facts about Canada.

P2. I liked the Niagara Falls best of all. It was great to watch it.

P3. As for me, Flora and Fauna are wonderful.

P4. It seams to me, the country itself is a tale.

Teacher. It’s a pity, but time flies and our trip is over. Let’s finish our visit to Canada with a popular Canadian song.
