TSU
Togliatti State University was established on May 29, 2001 as a result of a merger of two higher education institutions: Togliatti Polytechnic Institute (founded in 1951) and Togliatti Branch of Samara State Pedagogical University (founded in 1988). The history of Togliatti State University is inseparably linked to the recent history of our city, as it was the first higher educational establishment founded in Togliatti. Togliatti State University is one of the key components of the city's development plan; it provides comprehensive higher education and vocational training supplying the city companies, enterprises and public organizations with highly qualified personnel. Annually more than 1500 qualified specialists graduate from the University. The total number of graduates amounts to 47 thousand for its 55-year activity. Its alumni work as top governmental officials, members of the city administration, top managers of domestic and overseas companies, bankers, entrepreneurs, composers, and actors.

- 32 sports clubs, tourist and mountaineering clubs, amateur theater and chorus, ballroom and modern dances club.
Team
Our faculty
The Mathematics and Informatics faculty is formed on the basis of chairs of a mathematical cycle of physicotechnical institute of university and mathematics and computer science TSU faculty. The dean of faculty - professor Zibrov Peter Fedorovich.
The Primary goals facing to chairs of faculty:
- preparation of highly skilled experts in mathematics, computer science and the applied mathematics;
- attraction to educational process and scientific researches of leading scientists of the country and experts in mathematics and computer science;
- working out and introduction of modern educational technologies and high-quality uchebno-methodical maintenance;
- preparation of the qualified experts in postgraduate study and doctoral studies;
- formation of teachers from graduates of faculty.
Now the new scientific direction on work with exceptional children is developed: the Regional centre of the international intelligence-club of "Gljuon" is created.
The computer science branch carries out continuous preparation on computer facilities, programming, databases, the microprocessors, the automated control systems, local networks, global network Internet.
Students of faculty at will can be trained on military chair. Now the military chair trains students on four specialities for artillery and automobile divisions.
Graduates of faculty can work as experts in leading enterprises and the organisations of social sphere Togliatti and Volga region, and also scientists-researchers in the research centres and Open Society "AUTOVAZ" laboratories, in business concerns, teachers in colleges, technical schools and high schools.
